DAY TWENTY-ONE. COMMANDING THE MONTH OF DECEMBER: TOPIC: TOOL OF BLESSINGS
TOPIC: TOOL OF BLESSINGS
Bible Reading: Micah 1-3 Revelation 10
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
A brother in a branch of our church network narrated an experience. He boarded a commercial vehicle to a destination within Port Harcourt city. For whatever reason, the driver took him past his stop point. That enraged him as he now needed to trek 10 minutes back to his place. As he walked, he met a young man who owed him some amount of money for more than a year. Without probing, the debtor began to apologize profusely.
Beyond the apology, he immediately settled half of what he owed. So, what brought him irritation eventually became a source of blessing. By the way, he explained that he had actually considered that money a bad debt. So, receiving half of that money, when and where he did not expect is nothing less than a bonus.
The prophet Isaiah said that both our ways and thoughts are inferior to God’s. What looks like a disadvantage on the surface might be a blessing in disguise. People and situations that irritate us can become veritable tools of blessings.
That is why we should believe in the efficacy of God’s word. There is no constraint with God whatsoever; He can work out everything to the advantage of those who love Him.
