TOPIC: THE PULL OF DESTINY

“How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.” Psalm 119:9

I recently came across a work titled THE TESTAMENT OF JOSEPH. I believe it is a pseudepigraphy. (A pseudepigraphy is a piece of writing that is falsely ascribed to an author). The book details the struggle of Joseph and how he overcame, particularly his handling of his master’s wife. The book attributed his victory to prayer and fasting as well as moral instruction he had received from his father, Jacob. The testament aside, I believe the vision God showed him earlier was the secret of his power and stability. The Bible says where there is no vision the people cast off restraints (Proverbs 29:18). The vision of God was burning bright in his heart and provided the strength to pull through the rough and difficult path to destiny. It enabled him to overcome sin until he became what God showed him.
Anyone can pull through the many vicissitudes of life if they can but keep the end in view. The end here is that picture that God had shown us; what he had planned to make of us. The end may even be that glorious state that we conceive by ourselves and the Holy Spirit has sealed as being in line with the will of the Father. That is often known by the peace we enjoy which surpass all understanding of man. The picture of the future can birth endurance; it can create restraint and strengthen the will. If you don’t have a vision of the future yet, ask God to grant you one now.

Father, make me a vessel of righteousness.
Father, catapult me to greatness.
lord, help me to overcome the temptation of life.
lord, let the Joseph in me manifest, in Jesus name.

He will make your life a mystery to your adversaries because unexpected favor shall begin to fall in line for you. Goodness and Mercy shall be your portion. No evil shall near your abode in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
