DAY 21- COMMANDING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER TOPIC: FAULTY CHARACTER
TOPIC: Faulty Character
READ: Psalm 25:14-22
TEXT:
‘’Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you.’’ (Psalm 25:20-22)
RHEMA:
A character is the part or aspect of a person that makes one different from anyone else. Proverbs 12:4 say, A wife of a noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful one is like decay in his bone.’’
Your character determines your acceptability. The poor character will end up in poor human relation and untimely poor life.
Faulty character means a character that people are not willing to associate or relate with. One major symptom of this is intolerance, fault finders, and unattractive life.
People with faulty character will not be good drivers and as such will not be good leaders. They are always full of themselves; egoistic and high esteem (pride). The Bible says pride goes before a fall.
A faulty character is a direct product of poor parental foundation, indiscipline, uncontrollable habits, witchcraft, and curses. Its consequences are deprivation and separation.
The remedy for the faulty character is the right company. ‘’Do not be deceived, evil company corrupts good habits.’’(1Corinthians 15:33)
Your company will certainly influence your habit which forms your character. If you keep friends who are fornicators, drunkards, liars, robbers, witches, and backbiters, you will in the cause of such association be affected.
Please avoid these pitfalls and you will keep your character alive. A living character is a product of a living conscience.
David said, my integrity and character preserves me from shame. It is your turn.
PRAYERS
• Thank God for healing you by His word.
• Every faulty element polluting my character is destroyed, in Jesus name.
• Release your fear on me O Lord, in Jesus name.
